In order for assessment to be aligned and meaningful, it must connect to both curriculum and instruction. This session will explore different assessment types and how to create meaningful assessments.

Participants will:
Discuss summative assessment and how to refine an assessment using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and backward design.
Design instruction that leads to the learning needed for the assessment with multiple means of presentation and engagement (no barriers for anyone).
Analyze how to leverage your position to make change (scenarios).
