The 3rd session of the Catholic Inclusion Network is scheduled for Friday, February 22. It will again be held at St. Brigid (Hendricks Hall). It will begin at 9:00 and end at 12:00. The topic will be “Leveraging Data to Inform Instruction and Intervention”. The same team from Loyola will be with us again to present and guide the participants in working more in-depth on Tier I.
This session will explore
• Different assessment types, structures for data analysis, and how the data can inform improvements to both curriculum and instruction. The session will be differentiated for elementary and high school participants focusing on literacy and math.Participants will:
• Determine the purpose of several different types of assessments including standardized assessments, summative assessments, formative assessments, universal screeners, curriculum-based measurements, diagnostic assessments.We hope you will join us for this presentation (even if you have not been able to attend the previous sessions).
Optional Afternoon Session for Intervention Specialists Directed by the Office of Catholic Schools:
********Intervention Specialists are then welcome to stay for an afternoon session that will be directed by the Office of Catholic Schools as a follow-up to a previous Intervention Specialist meeting.
This will occur in the same location from 1:00 – 3:00. If Intervention Specialists attended the morning meeting and are staying for the afternoon meeting, they should either pack a lunch or plan on using one of the fast food restaurants in the Dublin area. Other teachers who attended the morning session are also welcome to stay for the afternoon session with their Intervention Specialist if they feel that this dialogue session would be of interest to them. If they attended the morning session, they also need to pack a lunch or plan on using one of the local restaurants.
